Dismantling, construction site A
The demolition of the basement levels of building 1010 was successfully completed in May 2025. In the work tent at the former building 1038, the excavation and removal work is already well underway. The excavation and disposal of soil material in the tent will continue until autumn 2025. The tent will then be dismantled.

To construct the excavation pit of Haus 6 on the construction site of the former building 1038, sheet piles were erected leading up to April 2025. The remaining sheet piles will be installed in autumn 2025, after the tent has been dismantled.

Quartier-Information event of 26 May 2025
More than 50 interested residents took part in the Rosental Mitte district information event on 26 May to find out about the current status and the next steps in the development of the site.

The canton of Basel-Stadt presented the current plans and answered numerous questions from the district. Among other things, it reported on the temporary school building, Haus 6, new apartments on the corner of Maulbeerstrasse and the demolition of construction site A, including coordination with the Office for the Environment and Energy. Other topics at the event included the future use of the ground floor areas, greening concepts and the parking situation on the site.
