Westhive AG, an innovative provider of flexible workspace solutions, has been using part of building 1046 since May 2020, and will move into the newly converted neighbouring building 1045 at the start of 2022. The new location will include a large restaurant run by Westhive, which will be open to the public, with a terrace and a rentable event space. Westhive members will have access to more than 200 workspaces across three floors, with private team offices of different sizes, open-plan areas and high-quality conference rooms, which can also be rented by non-members. These will be complemented by various inviting lounge areas, kitchens, quiet rooms and a gym. The conversion of the seven-storey office building at number 1045 is being carried out by the general planner Burckhardt+Partner AG.

The move to building 1045 will also mark another step in the opening up of the site: Sandgrubenstrasse will be reopened and connect with Riehenteichstrasse to form a public space. The outdoor seating areas of Westhive's restaurant and its kiosk will help make the area an attractive meeting place.
