The demolition of building 1010 began in June 2024, which is why the revolving gate between buildings 1010 and 1096 on Schwarzwaldallee has also been decommissioned and will be dismantled in the near future. Work on the interior of building 1010 is progressing, with the building contaminants and fittings currently being removed, after which the windows will be taken out to be reused at another location.

The actual demolition will then begin at the end of August 2024. The above-ground sections of the building are expected to be demolished by the end of September 2024, and the excavation and demolition of the basement floors will take place from October to the end of December 2024.

Landscaping work on the school grounds at the Sekundarschule Rosental secondary school is almost finished and the gates have been installed. By the beginning of September, the bollard lights with motion detectors will be installed and the water pipes will be connected to the drinking fountain. Minor work may still be required in the green spaces, but this will not affect the use of the outdoor area.

The work tent has been moved as planned to remove contaminated soil material in the area between buildings 1038 and 1040. In the fourth quarter of 2024, it will be expanded towards Maulbeerstrasse to remove contaminated soil material in this area as well. This work is expected to carry on until spring 2025.
